We are well aware that the human body is made up of more than 70% water. Water fuels the body to function properly. A dehydration can manifest as lethargy, headache, deterioration of skin appearance, digestive disorders (bloating, lack of appetite). That is why it is a good idea to start each day with a glass of water. This is something most of us know about, not everyone puts this habit into practice. Here’s why it’s worth getting into the habit of drinking water in the morning.
Remember to keep your body properly hydrated. This will ensure that it functions properly. This is particularly relevant for learners.
Adequate hydration has been proven to affect brain efficiency. Even by more than 10%!
How much water should we drink?
Daily water requirements depend primarily on age and our activity. It is known thatthe youngest do not need to drink as much water as adults. It is also well known that people who are active in sport should also drink water during training. In case you were wondering how much water you should be drinking, below is a short excerpt.
Water should also be remembered by those who are struggling with excess weight or are not overweight but would like to shed a few “unnecessary” kilos. Regularly drinking water on an empty stomach, preferably with lemon, has a salutary effect on the body.
Water with lemon, among other things:
- Ideally hydrates the body – contains more electrolytes than pure water,
- Helps to lose weight – drinking a glass of water makes us feel satiated, so we feel less hungry,
- Aids digestion – accelerates intestinal peristalsis,
- Accelerates the removal of toxins from the body.
Remember that the adult body loses up to 2.5 litres of water every day. Don’t wait to drink until you feel thirsty. Because then it is already a sign of dehydration.
What is worth drinking?
Surely a homemade isotonic won’t hurt 🙂 Here’s a quick recipe:
- litre of water,
- 2 tablespoons of honey,
- lemon juice,
- a pinch of salt,
Mix it all together and drink.
And every morning, on an empty stomach, a glass of water with lemon. Cheers!
